Our Thoughtful Boy

I wanted to make sure I record this story because it was a really cute moment.

Chris and I had been cleaning and doing various tasks all day and we were getting worn out. So we sat down to take a break and we were talking about what was left to do and he (Chris) said he was really running out of steam.

Well Matthew chimes in with, "Do you need some steam from my choo choo train or something like that Daddy?"

How cute is that! I love our little boy!

He wanted to sit on the train track for the picture
The long train track Matthew built all by himself!

Thoughts

Emma Lee loves to eat, but really only if she can feed herself. However she doesn't have any teeth so all these finger foods make me nervous! She does pretty well and has had bread, graham crackers, banana slices, mum mums, cheerios, and her daddy gave her a pretzel which she enjoyed very much. If I try to feed her anything pureed or mushy she turns her head away and when I actually get it in her mouth she just spits it out 90% of the time. Anyone ever experience this?

She is starting to walk along furniture, and loves to chase people around the house, she is becoming a very efficient crawler. She LOVES bath time with brother. This morning she was standing looking into the tub and was trying to figure out how to get in by herself. Sleeping is slowly improving.

Matthew is an awesome 2 year old, we love him, he is getting good with letters and counting. He just amazes me everyday!

On another unrelated note, it makes me so sad when blogs I have been reading go private. I have thought about making mine private also, but have not wanted to do it, I just try to keep all my posts safe. I also feel like the wrong person could find it even if there was a password... thoughts?

Anyways we are gearing up for Halloween and are so excited, it seems like we have a ton of events to go to this year. It is going to be a busy couple of weeks!

Lake View Farms

We decided this morning that we should go to a corn maze and pumpkin patch, so we were searching for one near us. Well there were a ton close to us, but one caught our eye, and then Matthews so it was decided. They had a small train that you could ride on, perfect for our train obsessed little boy!
When we first arrived it was pouring rain so we waited about 2 hours for the rain to clear up and headed back to the farm. Here are a few pictures from our fun day on the farm.

Matthew fell down while we were in the muddy corn maze, he was covered in mud and all upset, and Chris was starting to panic because we had nothing to clean him up with. That is when I stepped in and taught Matthew a valuable lesson about what jeans are for and let him wipe his hands off on my jeans. That is what Mom's are for right?

Dare Devil

My baby girl is so brave!

She is already crawling and pulling to stand, I thought she would just be content with that much for now. I don't know why I thought that but I did. Well I was wrong.

Today she has started standing up and then letting go and trying to balance! She is not even a week past six months, I can tell she is going to be walking long before I am ready. So I guess that means I better get ready huh?

Our Musician

I wish that I had my camera at church on Sunday because this moment was just so precious. We were staying late after church because Chris had a PPI and I was getting set apart for my calling, anyways Matthew, Emma and I were waiting for Chris to be done.

The choir practices in the chapel after church and Matthew realized that they were in there SINGING! Oh my he was so excited, "Sing, Sing, Song!"

Not wanting to restrict him from hearing the great choir we have I told him he could sit on the back pew so I could still see him, and he could still watch and listen. Well I was distracted for a couple of minutes and I look over to him and he is sitting on the back pew still, with a Hymn book open, and his hand up leading the music. He was keeping a perfect beat, so calm, and just grinning. It was precious, and made my day to see him enjoy the music so much.

On other music news,

He is starting to ask for children's Hymns by name, and is using words trying to sing along with us each night before bed.

He loves to walk around the house playing his guitar and singing songs.

Anything can be a microphone, even my elbow (he really enjoys singing into elbows... he has got a funny little sense of humor)

Yup, he is driven by music he loves it, and we are doing our best to encourage and develop his love of music.

Just want to say

I LOVE MY KIDS!

Yup I love them a ton, I have been having so many moments lately where I will just sit and watch them, all the while amazed that they are mine. They are such fun, good hearted kids.

I feel so lucky and blessed to be their Mommy
the only thing that would make it better would be a little more sleep at night :)

Hmmm...

I need to earn $65.00, I'm trying to figure out what I can sell to make that much?

I want to buy a membership to the children's museum

Because the weather is going to change soon and the Zoo will be COLD!

I love the Zoo, but it is just not as much fun when it is cold and wet.

Plus the Children's Museum is TONS of FUN!

Seriously Frustrating!

So I just need to vent about this so bear with me, and if you don't want to read it feel free to skip this post all together.

****Start of Rant****

We unfortunately have to put the kids on state insurance because of money flow issues, plus being self employed doesn't provide insurance easily. So I have been trying to get these kids on Oregon insurance for months now. I finally get all the information and everything arranged for insurance and begin to call the providers they have listed in the book they send out, as soon as providers are hearing the insurance I have they immediately say they are not accepting patients with that insurance. SO FRUSTRATING! My kids are over 2 months late for their well child visits, which means Emma is way behind on her immunization schedule, and I can't find a doctor! So one office finally tells me that I need to call and switch to this other insurance provider because no one in the area likes dealing with my current insurance provider so they are all stopping accepting patients from them. I take her advice and call to try and switch, they were able to switch me over but it will not be active until November!

So now I have to figure out if I should wait one more month and take them into Portland for a visit, or if I should just wait another month and take them to the doctor we will hopefully be staying with while we are in the area. I HATE doctor hopping, I want my kids to know where they went, I don't want 10 different offices with records on them, if I ever need to refer back to an office we went I would like to know which one it is. I know in Pullman they went to Pullman Family Medicine, simple easy. Arrrrrghhh!!!!!

****End Rant*****

Thanks for reading :)
